Allister Then, Maggie Ng crowned champions of Uplands Double’s Cup

KUCHING, 7 July: Allister Then and Maggie Ng were crowned the tennis doubles champions of the Uplands Double’s Cup at the Maksak Sports Complex here.

They beat Bong Sian Tin and Jenny Yourns with a score of 8-6 on July 6, receiving a trophy and RM200.

Meanwhile, second place received RM150, while third place winners Sap Jilan-Jawing Nayang and Francis Foo-Geoffrey received RM100.

Deputy Minister of Transport Sarawak Dato Henry Harry Jinep, who is also a tennis enthusiast, was present at the prize-giving ceremony.

The tournament, organised by Upland Tennis Club (UTC), attracted 32 players.

Meanwhile, UTC will be sending teams to compete in the Dudong Tennis Challenge Cup in Sibu from July 19 to 21. — DayakDaily
