KUCHING, April 22: ACP Alexson Naga Chabu is now the Kuching district police chief following a handing-over of duties ceremony at the Jalan Badruddin headquarters here on Monday (April 21).
According to the Sarawak Police Contingent’s Facebook page, Alexson has taken over the post from ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, who is now the Miri district police chief, during the ceremony, which Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata witnessed.
The ceremony also saw the appointments of the Police Family Association (PERKEP) chairpersons for the Miri and Kuching branches, with Jesselyn Roland Demong and Arabia Abdul Rahim, respectively, witnessed by Sarawak Contingent PERKEP head of welfare bureau, Puspawati Mohd Aris.
Meanwhile, Nor Omar Sappi was promoted to Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC).
In addition, the ceremony also saw the handing-over of duties from Supt Samima Mustapha to Nor Omar for the position of head of the Department of Internal Security and Public Order. — DayakDaily
