KUCHING, July 6: AirBorneo has filed planned Boeing 737-800 jet operations in the OAG airline schedules database, with proposed daily Kuching–Kuala Lumpur (KL) flights from July 20 and Kuching–Singapore (Changi) services from July 27, according to aviation route updates platform AeroRoutes.
“AirBorneo in the OAG has filed a planned jet operation, which would see the airline commencing service to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore with 737-800 aircraft, from late July 2026 at the earliest. Configuration is currently shown as C12Y150,” it said.
In aviation, C12Y150 denotes a specific passenger aircraft cabin configuration featuring exactly 162 seats—12 Class (Business Class) seats and 150 Y (Economy Class) seats.
The planned Kuching-Kuala Lumpur schedule shows flight MY5003 departing Kuching at 7.10am and arriving in KL at 9am, while flight MY5005 is shown to depart from Kuching at 1pm and arrive in KL at 2.50pm.
At the same time, flights MY5002 and MY5004 were shown to depart from KL to Kuching at 9.45am-11.35am, and 3.35pm-5.25pm, respectively.
A second daily rotation, MY5003/MY5002, is scheduled to operate from July 21.
Meanwhile, for the Kuching-Singapore schedule, the planned schedule shows flight MY363 departing Kuching at 6.50pm and arriving at Changi at 8.25pm, while the return flight MY364 is scheduled to leave Changi at 9.15pm and arrive in Kuching at 10.50pm.
This followed Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s announcement that AirBorneo is expected to unveil its new fare structure by the middle of this month, with passengers set to benefit from lower fares that include checked baggage and in-flight meals at no additional cost. — DayakDaily
