KUCHING, May 28: Ahmad Nazib Johari has replaced Senator Abun Sui Anyit as deputy chairman of Sarawak Leadership Council of Party Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak following the central leadership meeting on Sunday (May 26).
Ahmad Nazib was previously PKR Sarawak Santubong chief while Abu Sui had been the deputy chairman of Sarawak Leadership Council since 2022.
Expressing gratitude to Abun Sui and congratulating Ahmad Nazib, PKR Sarawak chief Roland Engan explained that the restructuring was deemed necessary after PKR president Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim took into account the feedback from all PKR branch chiefs throughout Sarawak.
“The agenda of strengthening the party remains a priority.
“The Sarawak Leadership Council will only be reshuffled if necessary. For this appointment, it was decided after discussions with the new deputy chairman and after receiving feedback from all 31 branch chiefs throughout Sarawak,” said Roland in a press statement. — DayakDaily
