DARO, Nov 5: It is Round Two for Ahmad Johnie Zawawi (GPS-PBB) and Andri Zulkarnaen Hamden (PH-Amanah) in P207 Igan as both of them will be facing each other for the second time in a general election.
In GE14, they were both first-timers, with Ahmad Johnie emerging the victor with 10,538 votes while Andri collected 2,043 votes.
This time, Ahmad Johnie, 60 as the incumbent is hoping to defend the seat while Andri, 50, aims to flip the situation around.
Election Commission (EC) returning officer Bujang Rahman Seli announced their names after the closing of the GE15 nomination counter at Dewan Masyarakat Daro today.
Igan has 28,290 constituents, of which 13,977 are male (49.41 per cent) and 14,313 are female (50.59 per cent).
Under Igan, there are two State constituencies, namely N43 Daro and N44 Jemoreng. — DayakDaily
