KUCHING, Aug 14: The upcoming road trip of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah along the Pan Borneo Highway is reported to take place from September 3 to September 13, 2023.
Commemorating Malaysia Day, the royal tour will begin in Tawau, Sabah, and conclude in Kuching, Sarawak.
According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report yesterday (Aug 13), Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas paid a visit to the RRCC (Rest and Relaxation Commercial Centre) Mid-Layar Betong, which has been proposed as a stopover location in Betong Division for the royal tour on September 12.
It was mentioned that the centre is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to be completed soon.
Also present at the site visit were Betong MP Dr Richard Rapu; administrative officer representing Betong District Officer Jamain Wahab; Betong Division UKAS officer Tony Malang Chabu; and Betong District office assistant administrative officer Nazri Bujang. — DayakDaily
