KUCHING, June 9: Top leaders from Peninsular Malaysia, including Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Prime Minister, must be fond of Sarawak to have visited the State several times lately, says political pundit Dato Peter Minos.
He said their visits here may also indicate their concerns and willingness to help Sarawak in certain matters.
“I can also say that when the Agong came by, he must have thought well of Sarawak and its people and admired the unity and harmony among Sarawakians.
“When the PM dropped by, he too was happy about many things in Sarawak, including the political stability and certainty.
“Maybe, deep inside, he wished there was political peace in the Peninsular,” said Minos in a statement today.
Unlike in Peninsular Malaysia, he added, Sarawak stands out as the most stable and peaceful State where the people have understanding and mutual respect.
“Thanks must be accorded to top Sarawak leaders who can and do handle things with wisdom, sagacity, and intelligence.
“At present rate and situation, the future of Sarawak and Sarawakians is shining bright, one which we cannot honestly say of the Peninsular,” he added. — DayakDaily
