KUCHING, April 17: Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for parts of central Sarawak by Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a notice valid until 5pm today.
According to the advisory notice released by MetMalaysia at 1.50pm in Facebook, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, and Limbang are listed as the areas forecast to be affected by the rainy weather.
The warning is only issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20mm an hour or with a downpour that is expected to occur for more than an hour.
