KUCHING, April 15: Thunderstorm warnings have been issued for Sibu, Selangau, Bintulu and Tatau until 9pm tonight.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued an advisory at 6pm stating that heavy rain and strong winds are anticipated.
The department said the warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour with rainfall expected to occur for more than an hour.
It added that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a maximum of six hours per release — DayakDaily
