KUCHING, Aug 20: The admission of students from Kedah into public institutions of higher learning (IPTs) in Sarawak scheduled for Oct has been postponed until a date to be decided upon later, in view of the recent rise in Covid-19 cases in Kedah.
This was disclosed via a Telegram message today from the National Security Council quoting Higher Education Minister Datuk Noraini Ahmad.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health (MoH) revealed there are currently three Covid-19 clusters in Kedah which are still active.
They are the Sivagangga cluster, the Tawar cluster and the Sala cluster.
Yesterday, MoH reported eight new cases from the Tawar cluster with four of them from Kedah.
