KUCHING, June 22: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from the new Sarawak Education Department director Abang Mat Ali Abang Masagus at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
The courtesy call was to introduce Abang Mat, who was appointed as the new State Education Department director last May, to Abang Johari.
Meanwhile former State Education Department director Azhar Ahmad has been transferred to the Educational Policy Planning and Research Division of the Ministry of Education in Putrajaya.
Azhar has served as the State Education Department director for one year and a half since 2018.
Among those who accompanied Abang Mat during the courtesy call was Sarawak Education, Science and Technological Research Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin Jawong and Sarawak Education Department School Management deputy director Omar Mahli. —DayakDaily
