KUCHING, April 21: Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Corporate Affairs and Sarawak Public Communication Unit) Datuk Abdullah Saidol is down with Covid-19, right before the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

In a social media post yesterday (April 20), he said he is currently under home quarantine, as per instructions from MySejahtera, for six days until Tuesday (April 25).

Abdullah said he has been experiencing flu and runny nose since a few days back, so he decided to take a Covid-19 test on April 19. Two separate test kits showed positive results.

“After that, I reported directly through MySejahtera. Immediately, I was informed by KKM (Ministry of Health) through MySejahtera to quarantine myself at home for six days, from April 19 to 25.

“I was also requested to report my daily health statuses through the MySejahtera app,” he said, lamenting the fact that he had to be by himself throughout the festive weekend.

Meanwhile, Abdullah urged members of the public to test themselves should they feel unwell, especially after frequent visiting during the month of Ramadan.

He said there is no need to be afraid to report through MySejahtera if they tested positive for the virus.

“Don’t be selfish and bring harm to others. Let us take care of ourselves and everyone around us,” he added. — DayakDaily
