KUCHING, Jan 12: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing commended Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for being a good listener.
The Infrastructure Development and Transportation Minister made the comment today in view of Abang Johari’s first anniversary as chief minister.
“He is a very good listener. He listens to suggestions both from the grassroots and party leaders.
“And as such I found it so much easier to assist him in administering Sarawak when he listens to our suggestions,” said Masing in a statement today.
He added that being willing to listen and to take note is a sign of a good leader and Sarawakians should support such a leader.
“That trait is a sign of a good leader. It is my hope that all Sarawak Barisan Nasional parties will give our chief minister their undivided support before, during and after the 14th General Election.
“What has been decided before the 14th General Election must be kept by all party leaders,” said the Parti Rakyat Sarawak president.
Former Chief Minister Pehin Sri Adenan Satem passed away on Jan 11 last year.
Two days later on Jan 13, Abang Johari was sworn in as the new chief minister of Sarawak. — DayakDaily
