Abang Jo unperturbed by reports PSB contesting in next state election

BINTULU, July 22: Reports of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) president Wong Soon Koh saying that the party is free to contest in any seat in the next state election did not appear to elicit a response from Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

When queried by the media today after attending the ceremony to mark the commencement of construction of the Bintulu-Kemena Bridge here this afternoon, Abang Johari said there was nothing to comment.

“(If he said so) let him, there is nothing to comment.

“Orang jual, kita meli lah,” he said, but did not elaborate.

He was reponding to reports of Wong saying PSB will be fielding its candidates to contest in any seat in the upcoming state election, during a function at Sri Aman on Saturday.

On July 15, Wong announced that he would be stepping down from the state cabinet.

Wong is expected to vacate his office in August. — DayakDaily
