“He (Abang Johari) is the epitome of visionary, all-rounder and a game-changer leader, to drive Sarawak towards greater heights.
“During his four-year leadership, various social, economic and development plans which encompass the rural and urban part of Sarawak have been rolled out, leading to various improvements, prosperity and growth of Sarawak and its people.
“His wisdom and compassion towards the needs of the people from various backgrounds have been translated in the setting up of various agencies, initiatives and implementation of programmes that have benefitted the rakyat.
“Abang Jo’s unwavering commitment to fight in the interest of Sarawak is truly an inspiration to many of us.
“Happy 4th Anniversary Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg or fondly known as Abang Jo.”
Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi
“You are the answer to our prayers and our hopes, to address the imbalanced, the unfairness and the injustice done to our State over the years.
“You have the resolve, the courage and wisdom to do so. Your initiatives and foresight to spearhead the holistic development and to bridge urban and rural divides and disparity is beyond compare. We are completely behind you in your fight for our rights and to remedy the past wrongs.”
Special Envoy of Prime Minister to China Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing
“On the occasion of the 4th anniversary of YAB Datuk Patinggi’s leadership as Chief Minister of Sarawak, I wish to extend my heartiest congratulations to YAB on his reassuring and admirable helming of our beloved State, through both the good times and challenging episodes.
“Thank you for creating a caring government which puts the welfare and harmony of our people first. We will continue to wish you every success and pledge our support to your tireless leadership.”
Welfare, Community, Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah
“When YAB Datuk Amar Abang Jo became the 6th Chief Minister of Sarawak, people tend to compare him with his predecessors some even skeptical of his initiatives.
“Four years at the helm has proven that he has his own strengths. Through myriads of initiatives, he has managed to gain the respect from friends and foes, near and far and most importantly the trust of the rakyat.
“Sarawak is now on a very strong ground – its fundamental economy is very strong, it is able to attract healthy foreign investment, its financial position is also strong. Because of its strong financial position, and also because welfare of the people is very close to his heart, YAB Abang Jo has introduced many initiatives that benefits our people directly through our ministry.”
Datuk Snowdan Lawan, Youth and Sports Assistant Minister
“I have felt and noted few outstanding qualities displayed by our chief minister for the last four years as CEO of the state.
“First of all, he is agile and energetic. He continues with policies such as minor rural programme fund and rural transformation programme fund which are beneficial for the rakyat.
“Secondly, he is receptive and sensitive to changes. Our CM himself is not only receptive but displayed an avid proponent of change by accepting new ideas and impetus from professionals and public feedbacks. Enlarged budget initiatives, new hydrogen buses, setting up of DBOS (Development Bank of Sarawak) and consistent pursuit of Sarawak rights per MA63 (the Malaysia Agreement 1963) are remarkable success story of our CM who thinks outside the box.
“Being IT savvy himself, our CM leads Sarawak to embrace technology and digital economy. Products like Sarawak Pay, VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) technology are testimonials to what our CM envisages. They are fruitful and impactful to people’s daily routines in so far as telecommunication is concerned.
“His leadership is still very much needed in Sarawak. I pray for his good health so that he continues to lead us and prosper this state and it’s people for many years to come.”
Local Government and Housing Assistant Minister Datuk Penguang Manggil
“I on behalf of all the rakyat in N76 Marudi would like to say a big thank you and express our healthiest congratulations to Abang Jo on his 4th anniversary as our Chief Minister.
“He is the CM for all races and religions and has done Sarawak proud in fighting for our rights and in bringing an accellerated and holistic development with the goal of making Sarawak a developed and high income State by the year 2030.
“We pray that he will continue to lead us and be blessed with good health and happiness.”
Muara Tuang assemblyman Dato Idris Buang
“My sincere and ardent hope that YAB Datuk Patinggi Abang Jo will get the biggest, resounding and most profound mandate and victory in this forthcoming state election to lead Sarawak to greater heights in all spectrum and realm of achievements and success for Sarawak and its people”.
Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep
“He has proven to be fair to all through his rural-biased development policies and modern politics of inclusiveness leadership.”
“May you continue to enjoy good health and more divine wisdom to lead Sarawak forward.” — DayakDaily
