SIBU, Feb 11: A man died after the car he was driving hit a rock and overturned at Jalan Sena last night.
Sibu District police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the deceased, Hii Hiong Hung, 42, a branch manager of a global insurance company was heading toward Taman Rejang along Jalan Sena at about 8pm when the accident happened.
“The car hit a rock by the roadside and overturned. Friends sent him to the hospital but he succumbed to injuries at 10.37pm,” he added.
A relative of the deceased lodged a police report of the accident at 8.43pm. — DayakDaily
