MIRI, Oct 11: A nine-year-old girl sustained injuries after her leg became trapped in a motorcycle chain in an accident along Jalan Miri bypass today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Lopeng Station responded to the emergency at 4.30pm and immediately mobilised a team of firefighters to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters assessed the situation and stabilised the girl before using rescue tools to cute the chain and free her leg.
First aid was provided by the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) Unit, and she was later transported to the hospital by a Ministry of Health ambulance for further treatment.
The operation concluded at 4.55pm after firefighters have ensured the safety of the site. — DayakDaily
