9 Sarawakian students secure matriculation placements after appeals

KUCHING, July 25: Nine Sarawakian students have successfully entered matriculation centres after their appeals were accepted, thanks to the assistance of the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Public Complaint Bureau.

SUPP Public Complaint Bureau chief Milton Foo announced that the students hail from various regions: four from Kuching, two each from Sibu and Miri, and one from Sarikei.

“Nine out of 16 students has succeeded in their appeal,” he told a press conference held at his office in Jalan Setia Raja today.

“For the remaining students who have yet to receive their notification on their appeal, don’t give up. We will try our best to provide assistance.”

Foo also conveyed his gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Dato Seri Fadillah Yusof and SUPP president Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian for their assistance to expedite the process.

On July 7, Milton offered assistance to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students with 10As and above to get placement into matriculation centres. — DayakDaily
