According to Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau today, 80 per cent of its constituents have completed their Covid-19 vaccination.
“We are very happy that 80 per cent of our population (Telang Usan) of 25,000 is fully vaccinated, in fact, one of our vaccination centres in Long San will be closing this Saturday because no more people to be vaccinated,” he said after launching the Think & Tinker Mini Lab for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Long Bedian at a leading hotel here today.
Meanwhile, PPVs in Long Lama, Long Kevok, Long Miri and Long Pillah are still operating.
On the action of anti-vaxxers using social media platform to spread misleading content on Covid-19 vaccines and exploiting people’s fears, Dennis cautioned them to stop the act.
He added, such unscrupulous act has caused harm and fear among the Penans.
“There should be no doubt about Covid-19 vaccines, it is saving lives,” he opined
Fortunately, he added the Penans are gradually accepting the fact that the vaccines are good and protect their lives against Covid-19. — DayakDaily
