KUCHING, Aug 6: Eight villages in Kedup constituency are placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) after recording a total of 120 positive Covid-19 cases following an active case detection (ACD) conducted recently.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the ACD was carried out by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Aug 2, 2021, involving villagers from Kampung Paon Sungai Rimu, Kampung Paon Rimu Bakung, Kampung Sungai Menyan (Cina), Kampung Junggu Mawang, Kampung Linsat Batu Kudi, Kampung Krangan Tekalong, Kampung Krangan Trusan and Kampung Krangan Baru.
All the affected villages are currently being placed under EMCO starting on Aug 4 until Aug 7, 2021 following the result of the ACD conducted in the area.
Meanwhile, a total of five roadblocks (SJR) have also been set up by the authorities, at all main entrance roads in the EMCO affected area. — DayakDaily
