SIBU, Aug 5: Eight Iban women have been selected for the final of the Miss Borneo Dayak Cultural Festival (BDCF) 2024 pageant.
The competition is held in conjunction with Borneo Cultural Festival (BCF). It will take place at the main stage, Tun Tuanku Bujang Square on the night of Aug 15.
The eight were selected from among 16 contestants at the screening stage yesterday. The finalists are Angelina Rani Gawan, Slyviana Rinya Galing, Hermina Anthony, Felisia Jeffery, Natasha Malviana Nyandang, Kartina Bagan, Arabella Sunta Langkan and Clarissa Rinya Setian
They had won the hearts of the three judges, namely Counselor Augustine Merikan, Dato Ir Alice Jawan and Adina Sana.
The winner of Miss BDCF 2024 will take home RM5,000 cash, a crown, sash, trophy, hamper and flowers while the runner-up will receive RM3,000 along with a sash, trophy and hamper.
Third place will be rewarded with RM2,000 along with a sash, trophy and hamper while fourth to 8th place will receive RM800 each as consolation prizes.
Miss BDCF 2024 is organised by Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) Sibu in collaboration with Sibu Municipal Council (SMC). — DayakDaily
