KUCHING, April 26: An elderly man is feared missing while looking for wood to make a fish trap at Kampung Judan in Mukah on Friday (April 25).

According to a spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 8.15pm and firefighters from the Mukah station were deployed.

“The victim, 75-year-old Narudin Abdullah, went out to look for wood at around 11am on Friday and has not returned.

“His relatives have asked for help to find him as they were unable to contact him,” said the spokesperson.

A search and rescue (SAR) operation was launched but suspended at 9.29pm as it was too dark.

The SAR operation resumed today. — DayakDaily
