KUCHING, Jan 8: Three individuals including a seven-month-old baby were injured in a road accident near Pakan junction in Sarikei.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, firefighters from Bomba Sarikei were despatched to the location after receiving a call regarding the incident at 7.28am.
The operation commander reported that the incident involved a Perodua Viva and a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
Three victims including the seven-month-old baby inside the Perodua Viva were injured while a woman in the backseat who was trapped inside the vehicle, was extricated by firefighters using rescue tools.
All three individual inside the four-wheel-drive vehicle managed to escape safely.
All injured victims were later handed over to ambulance personnel on site for further action. — DayakDaily
