ASAJAYA, Dec5: A road accident involving two vehicles, a Proton Persona and a Nissan Almera, left seven individuals injured at Kampung Terasi Junction in Asajaya today.
The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received an emergency call at 12.55pm and promptly deployed a team from the Asajaya fire station.
According to a Bomba statement, the accident involved seven individuals—five passengers in the Persona and two in the Almera.
Six victims were successfully rescued by the public and sent to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
One victim, the driver of the Almera, remained trapped in the vehicle and was only extricated upon the Bomba’s arrival at the scene.
The victim was later handed over to the paramedics.
The rescue operation concluded at 1.30pm. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident. — DayakDaily
