KANOWIT, Dec 8: About 69 longhouses in Ngemah are still without treated water supply, says its assemblyman, Anyi Jana.

“There are still 69 identified longhouses that have not yet received a supply of treated clean water. I am actively bringing this issue to the concerned parties and providing this facility as soon as possible.

“In addition, the government will also try to ensure that every road junction leading to a home or village area will be tarred even if it takes time with a limited budget,” he said.

Speaking at a ‘meet the people session’ at Rumah Lawrence Angking yesterday (Dec 7), he added that he will ensure that the people in the area enjoy proper development, assistance, and social economy in the future.

Regarding the road to the Nanga Trusa area leading to the longhouse, Anyi said it will be given priority by the government, and he will discuss the matter with the Public Works Department (JKR).

At the function, he announced the allocation of minor rural projects (MRPs) to the 12-door longhouse amounting to RM6,000, with its Women’s Bureau receiving RM3,000.
