MIRI, Feb 12: A 65-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a car yesterday at Jalan Kampung Tanjong Berlipat.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the incident occurred at 4.40pm.
He said, an initial investigation at the scene found that the deceased was travelling from Kampung Tanjong Berlipat before his motorcycle collided with a Proton Wira that was coming from an opposite direction.
“The incident happened when the victim was in the process of overtaking another vehicle in front of him,” he said today in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
