KUCHING, Aug 1: Approximately 600 Primary 1 and 2 pupils from 11 schools in Bukit Semuja received school assistance in the form of school bags from the Malay Vehicle Importers and Traders Association of Malaysia (Pekema).
According to a press release, the handover ceremony was conducted by Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus at Kampung Riih Daso to the representatives of the recipients with the headmasters or accompanying teachers.
Pekema president Dato Haji Ismail B Abang Saufi also, who was present, also informed that other than school bag assistance, the association also offers assistance under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) for natural disasters, health, and surgery.
SK Riih Daso headmaster Nixon Oscar and Pekema honorary secretary Polycarp Joseph were among those present during the event. — DayakDaily
