KUCHING, Aug 1: An 82-year-old man who is suffering from a physical disability caused by prostate disease and Parkinson’s disease had received a medical bed from Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap.
According to a statement issued today, Yap was alerted by Kapitan Boon Voon Min on the request for the sick resident residing in Lorong 22A of Stampin Resettlement Scheme area.
“The daughter-in-law of the sick resident had requested Kapitan Boon to bring the matter up to Yap for assistance to purchase a medical bed.
“Following the request, Yap on behalf of Kota Sentosa Welfare Bureau has handed over a medical bed to the family witnessed by Temenggong Dato Tan Joo Phoi, Datuk Kiung Choi Hin and Kapitan Boon,” it said.
The statement further said Yap is always ready to lend a helping hand to the hardcore poor and vulnerable residing in Kota Sentosa constituency who require assistance for basic medical equipment.
Those who are very poor that require assistance can always call his service centre’s mobile number at 082-265513 or 011-31893319 or go direct to the centre at E-2-25, 2nd Floor, Gala Street Mall, Gala City, Jalan Tun Jugah, Kempas Heights, 93350 Kuching.
They can also approach the community leaders serving in Kota Sentosa constituency to request for assistance. — DayakDaily
