KUCHING, April 28: Bintulu police arrested six individuals for their alleged involvement in a brawl in front of an entertainment centre on Sunday (April 27), which resulted in the death of a local man.
Bintulu district police chief Supt Nixon Joshua Ali said in the 1am incident, the 28-year-old victim was found covered in blood and later pronounced dead at Bintulu Hospital.
“Acting on information received, police arrested six male suspects, comprising locals and foreign nationals in their 40s in Miri,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
He added that efforts are also underway to trace other suspects involved in the incident.
A remand application for the victims will be submitted to the Bintulu Magistrates’ Court today, and the case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
