KUCHING, March 11: The fifth series of the John Ilus Open Cup Ping Pong Tournament will be held from August 26-28 this year.
Organised by the Serian Division Ping Pong Association and Bukit Semuja Youth, Sports and Recreation Bureau, it is scheduled to be held at Ranchan Hall in Serian.
The tournament will consist of five categories ― Open Team, Veteran Team, Bumiputera Team, Women’s Team, and Junior Team.
The tournament, which started in 2016, was put on hold for two years in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Participants from China, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Sabah, and Peninsular Malaysia competed in past tournaments.
