KUCHING, Dec 14: A man was killed in a road accident along Jalan Majau in Kanowit today.
According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Kanowit, they responded to the incident after receiving a call regarding the incident at 11.23am from members of the public.
The operations commander upon arrival at the location reported that the incident involved a motorcycle which was ridden by the victim and a 10-tonne lorry.
Due to the accident, the 59-year-old victim was thrown off his machine onto the opposite lane, and confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH).
After removing the motorcycle from blocking the main road and ensuring that the situation was under control, firefighters then ended the operation 12.18pm. — DayakDaily
