KUCHING, Feb 25: Fifty-six people today completed a 3-day workshop organised by Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) at Damai Beach Resort here.

Titled ‘Inculcate Friendly Neighbour Workshop’, the workshop was held in line with DBKU’s mission to boost the quality of living and excellence in service delivery, its vision of Kuching as a “city of choice, liveable and dynamic” and its agenda for this year, which is ‘Empower my community’.

The participants comprised five DBKU officers and 51 Friendly Neighbourhood chairpersons from the following state constituencies: Pantai Damai, Demak Laut, Tupong, Satok and Samariang.

In a statement, DBKU said the primary objective of the workshop was to enhance mindsets to tackle the work programmes and activities planned for 2019 in order to better serve the community.

“Such workshops can foster a closer relationship among participants and at the same time generate big output and impact for the sake of the local community,” said DBKU.
