MIRI, Nov 27: A 75-year-old woman and her family were terrified after discovering a massive python measuring around four metres long, slithering on their verandah, last night at Kampung Lereng Bukit.
According to the septuagenarian, who did not wish to be named, she felt something was not right that night, after noticing her chickens were clucking non-stop inside their pen behind her home.
“Upon inspection, I saw a massive snake slithering on the verandah…I immediately alerted my children for help,” she said.
A Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) team rushed to the scene in response to an alert on the discovery at around 9.18pm.
It took them almost one hour to capture the snake and secure the area.
The snake was later released back into its natural habitat. — DayakDaily
