KUCHING, Oct 28: A 46-year-old man was found dead inside a toilet at a school at Batu 32, Jalan Baki Lama, Serian today.
According to the operation commander, PBK II Rosnani Malong, Serian Fire and Rescue Station personnel received a call about the incident at 4.30pm and arrived at the scene at 4.43pm.
The firefighters had to use special equipment to force open the toilet door to gain access.
Upon entering, they found the man lying unconscious inside the toilet. He was subsequently pronounced dead by Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel.
The victim’s body was later handed over to the police for further action.
The operation was brought under control at 5pm and concluded at 5.25pm.
Eight firefighters were deployed in the operation, involving one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and one Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle.
Four police personnel and three Ministry of Health personnel assisted at the scene.-DayakDaily
