SERIAN, Sept 14: A 44-year-old woman died in a self-accident at Sungai Rayang Bridge along Kuching-Serian Road here last night after she was thrown out of her vehicle and crushed by it.
A spokesperson for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said the incident was reported at around 8.37pm, following which members from the Serian Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were deployed to the scene of the incident.
“When members of Bomba arrived at the location, it was found that it was a self-accident involving a Toyota Hilux that had overturned and there was a female victim suspected to have been thrown out and crushed by the vehicle.
“A male victim was successfully removed by members of the public at the location by the time Bomba personnel arrived,” said the spokesperson in a statement today.
Bomba then proceeded to extricate the female victim, who was still trapped under the vehicle.
The victim, Nalasip Adoh was confirmed dead at the scene of the accident and the case was handed over to the police for further action.— DayakDaily
