41yo BID case with no known medical illness among 19 Covid-19 deaths reported

KUCHING, Nov 4: A brought-in-dead (BID) case involving a 41-year-old woman from Bintulu with no known illnesses was among 19 Covid-19 deaths reported in Sarawak today.

According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the female patient’s death occurred on Oct 30, along with the death of a man aged 66 from Limbang, also BID.

Before Oct 30, seven fatalities took place on Oct 6, 7, 9 (one death each), Oct 12 (two deaths), Oct 14 and 18 (one death each).

The seven were aged between 57 and 90, and all had medical histories of comorbidities.

On Oct 31, Covid-19 claimed the life of an 81-year-old man from Miri who had hypertension, kidney disease and stroke.

The remaining five of the 19 mortalities occurred on Nov 1, with three in Sibu, and one each in Kuching and Betong. They all had medical histories of comorbidities.

With this, the cumulative number of Covid-19 deaths in Sarawak has risen to 1,399. — DayakDaily
