KUCHING, Dec 18: Four people managed to escape unscathed after fire broke out at a house along Jalan Satu in Lundu today.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, they received a call regarding the incident at 7.58am and deployed firefighters from Bomba Lundu to the location.
Upon arrival, the operation commander reported that the incident involved a house with a semi-permanent structure.
Firefighters utilised water from a fire engine and a nearby fire hydrant to extinguish the fire.
The operation ended at 8.20am after firefighters ensure that the situation was safe without any source of reignition.
About 80 per cent of the house was destroyed by flames.
No casualties were reported in the incident and the cause of fire and total loss are still under investigation. — DayakDaily
