KUCHING, Dec 18: Telang Usan assemblyman Dato Dennis Ngau’s mother Paya Jok passed away on Dec 15, aged 94.
The news was conveyed by Dennis on his Facebook page on the same day.
“Friends and family, with profound grief and sorrow, we announce that our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Paya Jok has gone back to the Lord today, 15th December 2023.
“We have lost the most amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt and friend that anyone could hope to have.
“Please pray for us as we go through this challenging time,” he wrote.
According to Dennis’ other Facebook posts, Sarawak Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his deputy Datuk Sebastian Ting were among those who paid their last respects to the deceased at the latter’s residence in Miri yesterday (Dec 17). — DayakDaily
