“We look forward to September 13, where we can all come together to witness this historic moment,” he said.

He said the event will be held at the Seafood Shangri-La in CityOne Plaza.

According to him, 70 tables will be set up to welcome guests, sponsors, and local community leaders from nationwide and throughout Sarawak.

“This welcome banquet will not only be a grand cultural exchange event but also an important platform to showcase the multicultural charm of Sarawak,” he added.

Meanwhile, Wee said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian has agreed to be the guest of honour for the event.

The event is organised by the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (HuaZong) and hosted by the Federation of Chinese Associations Sarawak (FCAS), with support from the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture and Federation of Chinese Associations Kuching Samarahan and Serian.

The organising committee has specially invited local renowned singers, professional dance troupes, and dynamic African drum teams to present a visual and auditory feast for the guests.

The lineup will not only allow participants to experience the unique charm of Sarawak’s multiculturalism but also promote friendship and cooperation among different states. — DayakDaily
