KUCHING, Jan 11: Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Minister Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah commends 38 Yayasan Amal Cinta and Kuching Love Book Association for their continuous charitable work to help those in need.

Their most recent contribution was the handover of a total of 5,000 face masks.

“Face masks are still very much needed although the number of Covid-19 cases has dropped very distinctly.

“As the schools reopen physically especially in the rural areas, I believe the donation of face masks will come in handy,” she said at a press conference here after receiving a courtesy call from representatives of the two bodies at her office in the Baitulmakmur II building today.

She also disclosed that the two groups had plans to go to Dalat and further discussions will take place between the minister and the two groups on their next charity mission in the constituency.

Fatimah also encouraged more groups to come forward and participate in charity works as she envisioned Sarawak to be the benchmark for charitable activities that cut across race and religion. – DayakDaily
