Abang Johari’s 81 Initiatives reflect voices of Sarawak business community, says SUPP Stakan chief

KUCHING, Jan 11: The business community in Sarawak is pleased that most of their proposals were accepted and will be implemented by the Sarawak government under Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s 81 Initiatives.

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Stakan chairman Dato Sim Kiang Chiok said Abang Johari’s 81 Initiatives is a collection of works and initiatives requested by Sarawakians.

He said Sarawakians have shown their strong support for Abang Johari to continue to run the government through the recently concluded 12th Sarawak Election.

This support, he said, didn’t happen by accident as it reflected the people’s trust of the chief minister’s pure commitment to deliver what were promised.

“Therefore, the business community is pleased that many of their proposals were accepted by the State government to be implemented.

“The chief minister has even asked the State civil servants to help expedite the initiatives quickly by cutting red tape,” he said in a statement today.

Sim said some of the initiatives will have a good impact on all Sarawakian businesses and will help businesses to grow and provide employment for the population.

He also described the chief minister as a smart leader for his contributions in standing up for Sarawak’s rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and imposing State Sales Tax (SST) on oil and gas products in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
