Businessman’s murder case: Forensics report to be tendered on May 29

KUCHING, March 27: The further mention of a businessman’s murder case has been set for May 29 for the prosecution to tender a forensics report.

The date was fixed by Magistrate Mohd Syukri Mokhtar


Teng Jing Biau, from Bintulu and Tiong Kim Kai, from Miri, have been charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code read together with Section 34 of the same code for kidnapping and killing the 37-year-old businessman. They allegedly killed the businessman between Jan 12, at about 10.30pm, and January 15, at about 9am, at an unnumbered house at Lorong Dusun, off Jalan Ong Tiang Swee.

If convicted, they face the death sentence.

Inspector Nelson Ensit prosecuted while Teng was represented by counsel Roger Chin and Michael Kong. Tiong was represented by counsel Voon Lee Shan. — DayakDaily
