TATAU, Nov 29: A 36-year-old woman was killed when the car she was driving lost control and veered off the road near Kemena River along the Pan Borneo Highway yesterday evening (Nov 28).
Tatau Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) chief Jankey Jikat said they received a distress call regarding the accident at 4.04pm, which prompted a team of five personnel from the Tatau fire station to be dispatched to the scene.
“The victim was extricated from the driver’s side of the car before being handed over to the Ministry of Health (MoH) ambulance,” read the statement.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and was handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
