SIMUNJAN, Jan 1: A 35-year-old woman tragically lost her life when her 4WD vehicle crashed into a roadside drain near Sabal Kruin early this morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Simunjan responded to the emergency at 7.40am and immediately dispatched a team of firefighters to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the victim trapped beneath the vehicle, while a male passenger had managed to exit the vehicle before the firefighters arrived.
After carefully assessing the situation, they worked swiftly to retrieve her.
Unfortunately, health officers from the Ministry of Health pronounced her dead at the scene.
Her body was subsequently handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
