KUCHING, May 25: A 35-year-old man was injured in an accident that took place at the Sarawak River Bridge this morning.
According to a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 4.09am, and firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station were deployed.
Upon arrival, it was noted that the accident involved a Perodua Viva that crashed into the metal road barrier.
“There was an adult male victim trapped in the driver’s seat who sustained facial injuries,” said the report, adding that the driver was the only one in the car.
Firefighters extricated the victim, who was later handed over to Health Ministry officials for further action. — DayakDaily
