SIBU, Jan 13: A 34-year-old driver sustained injuries to the head and legs when his 4WD vehicle crashed into a drain on Jalan Lanang in the early hours of this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak promptly responded to the emergency at 1.11am and deployed a team of firefighters from the Sibu Central Station to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the man was not trapped in the vehicle but faced difficulty moving due to pain.
Firefighters helped removed the victim out of the vehicle and administered early treatment at the scene.
Subsequently, he was transported to Sibu Hospital using the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle. — DayakDaily
