KUCHING, Oct 26: Three persons were killed while three others were rushed to the hospital after their vehicle collided head-on with a lorry along the Saratok-Sarikei Road this evening.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue (Bomba) department operation centre in a statement, said they received an emergency call from the Malaysian Emergency Response Services (EMRS 999) about the incident at 5.44 pm.
According to the statement, the incident involved six individuals in a sedan vehicle which collided with a cargo lorry at Salcra Junction along the Saratok-Sarikei Road.
“Operation commander at the location reported that three of the victims were pronounced dead by Health Ministry (KKM) medical staff at the scene, while three others were rushed to the Saratok hospital,” it said.
The statement added, the lorry driver and attendant did not sustain any injuries in the accident. –DayakDaily.
