KUCHING, Sept 30: Three individuals were injured in a road accident near SOP Gelasah junction in Batu Niah, Miri.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a call regarding the incident at 7.50am and dispatch a team from Bomba Batu Niah to the location.
The operation commander reported that the incident involved a four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle and a sports utility vehicle (SUV), which landed in a ravine about 3 metres from the road.
All three victims suffered minor injuries and were successfully extricated from the vehicles by the rescue team.
The two victims from the 4WD vehicle were later handed over to a medical team from Suai Health Clinic for treatment at the location while the third victim was transported to Bintulu Hospital for further treatment. — DayakDaily
