2yo girl unharmed from car crash at Mukah’s Yellow Bridge

MUKAH, June 3: A two-year-old girl, who was travelling with three adults in a car, was unharmed following a collision with a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at about 11.40am at Jambatan Batang Mukah (Yellow Bridge) yesterday (June 2).

The 36-year-old driver of the car, his front-seat passenger, 28, and a housewife, 21, were injured and rushed to Mukah Hospital by ambulance.

All of them are from Rumah Juti, Sungai Bawan, Balingian.

According to Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias, the car was travelling from Balingian when the driver lost control of it and swerved into the other side of the road of the bridge.

“The car collided with the MPV travelling from the opposite direction on the bridge,” he said.

Video clips of the accident had gone viral on social media, which showed the trio covered with blood on their face.

The 56-year-old driver of the MPV, who is from Kuching, was not injured.

The MPV was badly dented on the driver’s side while the car was damaged on its front and back. — DayakDaily
