KANOWIT, Jan 13: Twenty residents from Rh Leo Sg Lipus and Rh Alice Jimmy have been evacuated to the Kanowit Sports Complex temporary evacuation centre (PPS) following a flood this afternoon.
According to a report by the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the PPS was opened at 11.30am to accommodate 10 families from Rh Leo and one family from Rh Alice.

This is the second PPS opened in Sarawak so far, with the first being the Nanga Ngungun Multipurpose Hall, which was opened around 11.30pm last night and currently houses 20 victims.
The total number of flood victims in Kanowit now stands at 40. – DayakDaily
